The world was made to be free in. This is a course for those who wish to develop that freedom, also known as Presence - a state of restful, wide-awake, ongoing awareness. There will be tools to establish daily meditation practices, and ways to integrate presence into your life in the face of inner and outer obstacles to being free. This introductory module consists of six bi-weekly sessions which include:
* Cultivating Stable Attention through Shamatha: morning tranquility practice
* Coming into Presence: the primary all-day practice
* Working with Your Inner Opponent: the evening power practice
* Non-Self and the Nature of ‘Mind’
* Transforming Emotions into Energy
* Cutting Through Internal Patterns and Beliefs
* Spectrums of Energy: The Five Elements
* The 4 Ways of Working: Power, Ecstasy, Insight and Compassion

Sharon Wiener, M.A., RPC, MPCP, has been practicing Buddhist Dzogchen meditation since 1992 and teaching for the past 10 years under the guidance of Ruth Gilbert, PhD. and Jon Parmenter.
