The Clinical Director is a member of the Management Team, reporting directly to the Executive Director. Responsible for providing leadership to a clinical multi-disciplinary team of 12, including all counsellors, family educators, outreach counsellors, and outreach coordinators, the Clinical Director provides day-to-day leadership in the operations of the clinical program. The Director will manage the agency’s Employee Assistance Programs and will carry a small clinical case load. The Clinical Director will be involved in the professional community, clinical consultations, collaborative care, Critical Incident Stress Management and community development activities.
To qualify for this unique opportunity, you must be a leader in Clinical Counselling, with deep experience in implementing and maintaining clinical standards and best practices. You build effective and trusting teams, encourage a caring and nurturing organizational culture, while promoting accountability and high standards. Your communication skills are strong, and you enjoy engaging the community. Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset. Experience with accreditation and First Nations would be beneficial. You should have 3-5 years Program Management and Clinical Supervision experience, coupled with a minimum of five years of direct clinical counselling experience. You must have a Masters level relevant degree from an accredited university program and current Professional Registration with the Professional Practice Body of the discipline (CCA, R. Psych., RCC or RSW BC).
