1. Satisfactory completion of the Qualifying Examination.
2. Two years of experience in counselling practice accompanied by two letters of recommendation from counselling professionals who are registered members of a provincial or other government-approved association for counselling professionals; or membership in good standing in the CPCA for at least two years.
3. Submission of a report from a Criminal Records Check completed by the RCMP or other legitimate police organization, within the last six months.
4. Acceptance of the CPCA Code of Ethics .
5. Completion of confidential psychological testing.
6. Proof of professional liability insurance .
7. Approval of the submitted application by the CPCA membership committee.
