Counsellor Directory

This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Cities of practice

Käri-Ann has been in private practice since 2003, with a history of Outdoor Education as her first career, followed by over 20 years working in the social service sector mostly as a child, youth, and family worker. Presently, she teaches counselling skills and theory at VCCT, does psycho-educational agency work, is one of the pioneer trainers for the EA Society of Canada, and is a co-developer of the Authentic Living workshop series. In particular, Käri-Ann treasures working with counsellors in training. Here it is such a privilege to be part of their exciting journey of learning, opening, and strengthening. She blends her psychotherapeutic training with her experience in CBT and group work to offer her students and supervisees a focus both on the self-experience aspect of learning as well as on the continued development of both conceptualizing ability and concrete skills for working with clients.
