Counsellor Directory

This innovative membership service serves to promote business information about your counselling practice, specialized services and skills as well as the ability to upload a profile picture and business logo. With futurist trends heading towards a generation that seeks information online as well as a specific set of skills, knowledge and experience, the CPCA believes this directory will provide a competitive edge for marketing our member's counselling services across Canada to the public, insurance providers, EAP contractors and government for verification of your legitimacy. All members who are in "good standing" will be approved to list their contact information in the directory on an annual basis. It allows our members to login to their directory listing once it has been approved and make any changes to their contact information.

Description

Kathryn offers phone and video counselling sessions. She encourages clients to schedule a free consultation. Book online at www.gravitatecounselling.ca or contact her via email at kathryn@gravitatecounselling.ca.

Kathryn believes that counselling is a collaborative process between the client and their counsellor, and treats the relationship as a partnership. She uses a strengths-based and solution-focused approach to help her clients move toward their goals. She helps clients learn and practice techniques to change unhelpful thought patterns, regulate their emotions, and cope more effectively with challenges. Kathryn also assists clients to improve their communication, boundary setting, and conflict resolution skills.

Kathryn has over 10 years of counselling experience. She enjoys working with clients on stress management, personal growth, identity exploration, goal setting, relationships, and life transitions. She also helps clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and addictions. She practices from an anti-oppressive and trauma informed lens, and welcomes clients of all races, sexual orientations, and gender identities/expressions.

Kathryn is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), a Counselling Therapist with the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (ACTA), and a Registered Professional Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). She has a Master of Education degree from Thompson Rivers University.
