TIR workshop explores trauma, and its effects, The Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) technique helps people heal by using a gentle, one on one, structured, person-centered approach. This TIR workshop teaches and allows one to practice: six (6) methods used to help identify and heal negative life memories that may or may not be in a person’s awareness. Examples include relationships, jobs, family challenges, grief, anger, accidents, injury, war, etc. All techniques are respectful; the client stays in the session until they feel better, making it safe for the client to explore painful memories.

Objectives:

Students are taught the specialized TIR techniques; theory and application, and then students practice them.

Skills used include:
- Help a person feel better in a short time frame
- Understand and be able to Explain the theory and    practice of TIR
- Understand and change how a person is triggered by past memories
- Increase the client-worker relationship through          specialized communication
-  Understand who would and would not be best helped by TIR
-  Know how to use the specialized, structured,            directive techniques of TIR
-  Apply Traumatic Incident Reduction to the specific    person’s identified issues to be resolved
-  Apply TIR methods with clients successfully, and      competently
